Fighting for My Rights

I am so saddened by the political events going on in Wisconsin. Teachers like myself are being attacked financially and personally being called lazy, and greedy. Teachers are accused of "stealing" taxpayer's money. Other public workers who also have to work for a living, are also being attacked by having their collective bargaining rights stripped beneath them. How can Scott Walker sleep at night knowing he is taking away money from hard working middle class citizens of Wisconsin all the while providing tax cuts for businesses who are making little to any sacrifices during a time of an "emergency budget crisis." What puzzles me even more is the other middle class citizens of Wisconsin who support Governor Walker's plan to make cuts to education, recycling programs, mental health, and poison control , just to name a few. How can they support a near billion dollar cut to education which includes the loss of AP classes, at-risk programs, breakfast and lunch programs for poor children, gifted and talented programs, and the list goes on. This affects us all, and my hope is that every person in Wisconsin takes a look at all the issues at hand and really thinks about what kind of future they want in Wisconsin. Let's move Wisconsin forward!
